Within Syngenta Master Data Management is complex, many tasks are outsourced. Managing service delivery both on operational as on tactical level is crucial for successful master data management when third-party service providers are involved. In my role as Client Engagement Manager I was responsible for aligning business needs with the capabilities of the service provider by setting up meting structures, setting priorities and managing escalations.

Service Delivery

  • Representing  the service organization as the one face to the client regarding MDM services
  • Manages expectations and acts as interface between the service delivery team and the clients in the business
  • Manages regional escalations of service issues
  • Track and escalate process impact due to organizational changes
  • New Service Introductions; Guide and align Business, Service organization and third-party to handover services to 3th party without any business interruptions
  • Set up new meeting structure with third-party service provider on operational performance and escalations

MDM Key User Network

  • Manage MDM Key user Network
  • Setting up and hosting  a monthly meeting with Key-Users, BPA, BPC and third-party service providers on MDM related topics
  • Manage and Prioritize BPA recourses

Transfer Price Year End Upload Project

At the end of the year new (inter-company) transfer-prices are established and need to be loaded into SAP. This process is a joined effort of the Transfer Price Team and MDM operations and will be managed by the Client Engagement Manager

  • Monitor and manage the overall process
  • Indicate and escalate potential issues
  • Communicate status updates with business stakeholders
  • Be the first point of contact for the business
  • Indicate and document possible improvements and initiate follow-up

As Purchaser for Wärtsilä Service Benelux I was responsible for setting up local Material Master Data and keeping local stock on an optimal level. As SAP Key User I’ve supported local SAP users and participates in various Projects.

  • First line support for all SAP-MM (and SAP-CS and SAP-SD) related issues
  • Cooperate in SAP knowledge scan project
  • Advise in optimizing way of working for both for MM and other process(SAP-CS & SAP-SD)
  • Train end-users in using SAP
  • User validation testing
