BOC ADONIS NP

ADONIS NP is a Business Process Management and Analysis tool. It supports business process management based on the BPMS framework created at the University of Vienna. The tool has been developed by BOC Information Technologies Consulting GmbH. It provides an array of functionalities, including, but not limited to web-based business process modeling using the BPMS notation and BPMN 2.0 , search and graphical analysis capabilities, process simulation & optimization, evaluation, as well as publishing and process automation with BPMN 2.0 XML (BPMN DI) and XPDL.
I have used ADONIS extensively to create business process flows before start writing process documentation. Using a process flow in a discussion with business users on how a certain task is performed keeps the discussion focused on the process instead of falling into discussion on language. With a good process flow it is easy to write good documentation.

Master Data Manager & Document Writer

The Material Master Data team within Astellas is facing a major challenge. With the implementation of a new Global SAP-S/4HANA environment the role of the EMEA Material Master Data Team is moving from a Regional to a Global role. With big historical regional differences in procedures, aligning data is not always easy. Good documentation will support a better understanding of Master Data Governance and Master Data Management.
In my role as Document Writer I’m using my experience in Master Data Management to challenge the organization to think about their processes before start writing a document.

  • Setting up a Document Writers Forum within Astellas to Share and Grow together.
  • “Bake a Cake” method: create a full set of process documents for ‘Organizing a Birthday Party the Dutch Way’ to be able to discuss the document structure with stakeholders without being influenced by content bias.
